WHERE TO STAY IN KEY WEST
When it comes to finding the perfect place to stay in Key West for a bachelorette party, there are plenty of options to choose from. For those seeking a more luxurious experience, there are several high-end hotels and resorts offering ocean views and top-notch amenities. Alternatively, many vacation rental homes and condos are available throughout the island, providing a comfortable and convenient home base. Staying in the heart of downtown Key West means easy access to the island's lively nightlife scene, vibrant restaurants, and exciting shipping options. I recommend staying within walkable distance to Duval Street! That’s where all the action is as far as nightlife and restaurants go. Being able to walk or ride bikes to and from your accommodation will be extremely convenient then having to Uber everywhere.
Our bachelorette party stayed at the Pier House Resort and Spa and the hotel is right on the water at the very start of Duval Street. The resort offers a private beach and pool with beach service and a beach bar and restaurant. We loved this hotel for its location! The resort is ocean front and walking distance to bars and restaurants on Duval Street. It was truly the perfect mix of relaxation and nightlife.
Personally, we had trouble finding an Air bnb accommodation that was affordable, fit our needs, and also had a great location. This hotel is considered to be high end and to make this work financially we had four girls to a room splitting the cost evenly. In a room full of girls things can get messy pretty quickly! Here are some of my favorite packing items to keeping things organized.
BACHELORETTE ACTIVITIES IN KEY WEST
Visit the most southern point, here you will be as far south in the U.S you can get and only 90 miles to Cuba. Be warned, if you'd like to take a picture with the landmark you'll most likely be waiting in a very long line of people.
Up the street a bit is the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory! Here you will learn about the life cycle of a Monarch Butterfly and witness its different stages. Walk through hundreds of different butterflies and a tropical garden. You'll even see some flamingos and other species of birds!
Renting a boat for the day is a must! We used Key West Boat Rentals. We also hired a Captain so we could all enjoy some cocktails without having to worry, as well as take us to the coolest spots! Captain Diana took us to a stunning sand bar! We hung out there all day long, 10/10 recommend. It was the highlight of the trip!
Sunset Pier is a great place to grab some drinks and watch the sunset. It is on the water and is booming with people. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to spot some fish off the pier while enjoying the view.
Talking about sunset, Mallory Square is famously known for its sunset celebration every day of the year! It is located on the waterfront of Key West’s historic Old Town and is filled with food vendors, street art, and performers.
Go to Aqua Nightclub! If you’re looking for a wild night you can’t miss the Drag Queens work the stage. Great drinks, huge laughs, and a blast to watch!
