HOW DOES TRAVEL PIRATES WORK?

Before delving into our Bali escapade, let's shine a light on how Travel Pirates made it all possible. This innovative platform specializes in uncovering unbeatable travel deals, allowing adventurers like us to explore exotic destinations without breaking the bank. By curating the best flight and hotel packages, Travel Pirates opens doors to dream destinations at jaw-dropping prices.

But here's the catch—flexibility is key. Travel Pirates scours the web for the cheapest deals on selected dates, meaning you'll need to be open to adjusting your travel schedule to snag these incredible offers. The website seems to cater to major airports offering departures out of Los Angeles, Chicago, and NYC for example. We personally flew out of LAX and drove up from San Diego. With all of this in mind, if you're on the hunt for budget-friendly travel options and don't mind a bit of spontaneity, Travel Pirates may be your go-to resource.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT BALI?

The best time to visit Bali is from May to October, coinciding with the island's dry season. During this period skies are usually clear and sunny with temperatures ranging from 80° - 90°.

On our own Bali adventure, we traveled during the end of September into early October. Despite the popularity of this season, we found that crowds were surprisingly manageable for the most part. It wasn't until we hit the iconic attractions like the Monkey Forest and the mesmerizing Kelingking Beach on Nusa Penida Island that we encountered larger crowds. However, the allure of these must-see destinations outweighed any inconvenience posed by the throngs of fellow travelers. After all, some experiences are simply too magical to miss, regardless of the crowds!

WHERE TO STAY IN BALI?

When considering where to stay in Bali, Kuta Beach serves as an excellent centralized location, offering easy access to the island's diverse attractions. However, we highly recommend exploring multiple areas throughout Bali to fully immerse yourself in its rich culture and landscapes. Each town boasts its own unique atmosphere, from the laid-back surf vibes of Canggu to the stunning cliffside views of Uluwatu and the tranquil rice terraces of Ubud.

As for our own accommodation experience, we found that while our stay at B Hotel Bali & Spa in Kuta may not have been extravagant, it provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Despite the hotel being on a busy road, we were able to enjoy our Bali adventures hassle-free! The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and we made sure to take a refreshing dip in the pool. Ultimately, our time spent at the hotel was limited due to our go-getter attitude, exploring all Bali has to offer!

With a wide range of accommodation options available in Bali, ranging from budget-friendly hotels to luxurious resorts, finding a place to stay in Bali is a breeze. Prices can vary, but it's possible to find comfortable hotel rooms for as little as $20-$30 a night, allowing you to stretch your budget further and explore different areas of the island. We opted to stay in various locations throughout our trip, keeping Kuta as our home base for convenience. This allowed us to travel light, bringing only what we needed for each overnight stay and avoiding the hassle of lugging around bulky suitcases. It proved to be a convenient and cost-effective way to experience Bali's diverse offerings without missing a beat!
